What do we do at LAGAD Ballet?

London Academy of Gymnastics and Dance (LAGAD Ltd) was founded in 2009 by Jessica Shenton MA, ARAD, Dip TTC RBS a Royal Ballet School trained former professional dancer and teacher.

Our highly qualified teachers are all classically trained and enhanced DBS checked.

We offer Ballet for all levels and aim for our children to enjoy the wonders of dance through imagination and joy. Ballet exams are available for those that want to enter them, but this is not compulsory, as we are aware that many children just want to enjoy the classes without the pressure of exams.

LAGAD Ballet offers advantages for you and your child.

Our ballet classes follow a traditional method and the great tradition of dance. We have developed a Ballet programme to suit your young dancer at every stage of their journey.

To enhance their ballet experience, students can also study gymnastics and participate in our performances and Holiday Camps.

Parents can pay using Childcare Vouchers, making the classes tax exempt!

About our LAGAD ballet teacher

Anna is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer licensed by the Department of Theatre and Dance of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Greece, where she was born and raised.

Anna started dancing from the age of 5 where she trained in general and rhythmic gymnastics, ballet and modern dance until the age of 18, where she went on to study Arts & Dance at degree level. 

Anna has taught dance and gymnastics for over 15yrs to children and adults, with a passion for teaching pre school children.  Anna is dedicated to supporting pupils to embrace their individuality, harness their confidence and develop physically and emotionally as dancers. 

Are your classes suitable for my child?

We teach pre-ballet, ballet and gymnastics in a safe and nurturing environment enhancing your child’s personal, social and emotional development and expression. Our students aim to be graceful, confident, intelligent, self-disciplined and creative.

All classes have regular end of term opportunities to show their dancing skills to family and friends.

Pre-School (09:30am - 10:10am)

Reception (10:20am - 11:00am)

Year 1 & 2 (11:10am - 12:00pm)

Term Dates: 10th September - 10th December 2022
